The courts at Van Voorhees Park are the best option if you're looking to play in Brooklyn Heights. Between the BQE and waterfront just south of Atlantic Ave you'll find these 2 hard courts which are accessible from the park entrance on Congress St between Columbia and Hicks. On weekends you can expect a wait for these courts, but there are plenty of benches to camp out on, and if you're feeling impatient you can head across the street (carefully, you're crossing the entrance to the BQE) to the park's handball courts to hit against a wall. After you play be sure to check out Brooklyn Bridge Park, you're just 2 blocks south! Consider grab pizza from Fornino on Pier 6, or ice cream from Ample Hills in front of Pier 5 while you're at it. Local Coffee: Espresso Me, Salter House (3 blocks North up Hicks Street, 1st block right on Atlantic) Local Food/Drink: Long Island Bar, great burgers and drinks (3 blocks North up Hicks Street, right on Atlantic on the corner of Henry) Hibino (2 blocks North on Hicks, right on Pacific on the corner of Henry)
